We are a chapter of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League (BREDL) , a nonprofit organization empowering local communities to organize and accomplish environmental protections for their health and safety. Following the October 2021 legal settlement with the NC DEQ, our local chapter changed our name to Snow Camp Environmental Defense League (SCEDL) to reflect a broader focus on environmental protections.
